this is the toughest question in the list for me to answer since i blog anonymously but for the record, i'm a male blogger. my readers and followers think otherwise. lol! the blog's design and button has probably got something to do with the assumption but it's a tribute to my late Mom who was born on St. Patrick's Day and green is my favorite color. incidentally, it's her birthday today. she would have been 70.

2. Have you always been an avid reader?

yes. at an early age, i used to stare at this huge bookshelf at the old homestead and wonder what those thick heavy rectangular things were and what those strange letters inside were all about. i owe my love of reading to my parents and we had quite an eclectic collection. among those i recall were books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Barbara Cartland, J.R.R. Tolkien, Ray Bradbury, Edith Hamilton, Walt Disney, Janet Dailey, Anne Matther, Alister MacLean, Ian Fleming, Sidney Sheldon, Isaac Asimov, Norman Mailer, Danielle Steele, Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Gore Vidal, Jacqueline Susanne, Harold Robbins, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, C.S. Lewis and more.

3. What is your favorite thing about book blogging?

aside from meeting fellow bibiliophiles, it's the experience of interacting with authors and talking about their work. i'm still starstruck each time i get to meet a new one.

4. What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?

authors learning about my reviews and getting in touch with me to read and review their books! who wouldn't be starstruck by that!

it would be the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. his work has the feel of the sublime and the commonplace. i just love reading his poetry over and over and over.

7. The earth is crumbling and you can only take 5 books with you on the spaceship to mars. Which books do you take?

- The Catechism of the Catholic Church

these books would sustain me well on the journey and in my new life on Mars. i'll be taking my nook along with me anyway so i'm good. i cannot leave it behind. it's non-negotiable.

Just Another Book Addict

Can you tell us about yourself? Not just your name and what you do, but also... what are you like?

My name is Lindsay and I'm a high school student. I've always called myself a nerd and I don't mind it one bit. I care about my grades and try to do my best to excel in school. Personality wise, there's this quote I found once and I think it fits me perfectly. "People that don't know me think I'm quiet. People that do know me wish I was." I think that sums up how shy I am at first. My mom always says that I've always been levelheaded and her only child to stay out of trouble.
Have you always been an avid reader?

I remember loving to read when I was in elementary school, but it disappeared in the fifth grade. In the 8th grade, there was this competition called Battle of the Books and a friend talked me into signing up. I realized how much I did love to read and haven't stopped since.
What is your favorite thing about book blogging?

I love discovering great books through other bloggers and interacting with authors. I love to just share my thoughts on books and know that I'm not alone with my book addiction. (:
What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?

Talking and interviewing some of my favorite authors is the most exciting thing for me. Authors are my celebrities and the nicest people ever, talking to them is fantastic and often mindboggling.
What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours?

I enjoy discovering more books! There is nothing better than finding out about more books and then getting to share them with others. I'd say that is pretty awesome.
I know better than to ask who your favorite author is. That's an impossible question. LoL But... if you could meet 1 author for coffee, who would you most like to sit and chat with?

For a few years, that answer would have been Nicholas Sparks because ever since I read A Walk To Remember I've been a Nicholas Sparks addict. But I've been exposed to so many more fantastic authors (plus I've met Nicholas Sparks twice) that I would have a different answer this go around. This is still an almost impossible question! It's a toss up between Jodi Picoult, Rachel Vincent and John Green.
The earth is crumbling and you can only take 5 books with you on the spaceship to mars. Which books do you take?

Can I move really fast and use magic to download them all on to my Kindle? Haha, I would take a John Green book, the 3 Study series books by Maria V. Snyder, and Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult.
Favorite place to read?

I'll read anywhere, no matter what. My favorite place to read would have to be outside on a warm sunny day with a slight breeze. That way, I can enjoy my book and the weather.
Best book you read in 2010?

I had a ton of favorites of 2010, but the first book that comes to mind is Love Means Zero by Daisy Jordan. It has all my favorite things in one: traveling, tennis, England, and photography.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

I would stay in North Carolina. The weather is great. There are both mountains and the beach and my family is here. I wouldn't want to live any other place.

1. Can you tell us about yourself? Not just your name and what you do,

but also... what are you like?

My name is Wenj and I'm a graphic designer. I have also worked as a

screen printer, designing and making t-shirts, and as a sign maker.

But, the largest portion of my life has been spent as a student up

until the last few years. Currently, I spend most of my time writing

after much encouragement from my friends and family. As to what I'm

like, well....that's a tough one! Hard-Headed and stubborn tend to be

the first words from people's mouths when describing me and I can't

really argue with that. But, I also like to think that I might

occassionally be referred to as nice or at the very least, helpful.

2. Have you always been an avid reader?

Definitely. When I was little I use to go to my parent's shop and

there was a Book Stop at the end of the center, Book Stop now under

the name of Barnes & Noble. I use to go over there almost everyday to

get a new book and would sit around reading all day. Hm, I guess not

much has really changed over the years!

3. What is your favorite thing about book blogging?

So far, it's been meeting all the wonderful people, from authors to

the other bloggers. Everyone has been wonderful and I've made a lot of

new friends in the short time BLR has been open.

4. What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?

Getting followers! Seriously, I'm shocked each time I see someone new

following my blog. It's just exciting to think that people actually

might care about my opinions or that I could sway someone into trying

a book they otherwise not have looked twice at. Ever since becoming a

fanartist back in 2003, I've never gotten over the rush of having

someone take an interest in my obsessions and actually like them.

Silly, but true.

5. What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours?

So far, the people involved have been wonderful. There's a great

energy about BLB and it's just been a great experience as a blogger to

be involved.

6. I know better than to ask who your favorite author is. That's an
impossible question. LoL But... if you could meet 1 author for coffee,
who would you most like to sit and chat with?

And that's not a tough question?! Hm. I think I would most enjoy

talking with Charlaine Harris. She strikes me as a wonderfully bright

and happy woman with a great sense of humor.

Can you tell us about yourself? Not just your name and what you do, but also... what are you like?
Hello, I'm Lillie. I work as a nanny slash mother's helper with a great kid who has Asperger's (a fairly high-functioning syndrome on the autistic spectrum). I love reading and am an aspiring author, who is always writing and journaling. I love football and hockey, cold weather and snow, anything with coffee in it, and stuffing my bookshelves and Nook with new reads.
Have you always been an avid reader? ALWAYS! My grandmother had a hand in teaching me to read. I read my first book on my own at 4, and never looked back. I started wearing glasses at 6 because my astigmatism was interfering with my focusing on words.
What is your favorite thing about book blogging? Just one? I love the community that book lovers have created, and also getting a chance to meet other bloggers, readers, authors, and book people in an organic environment.
What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog? I think the first time that an author commented on a review that I had posted was pretty exciting. Also, the very first unsolicited review book that I was sent (and it was a book that I wanted to read SO BAD!) had me squealing a little in glee.
What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours? I like being a part of a smaller group of book readers that I can possibly get to know better. And, finding other people that love their e-readers!
I know better than to ask who your favorite author is. That's an impossible question. LoL But... if you could meet 1 author for coffee, who would you most like to sit and chat with? Still hard! I would love to meet the authors behind Moira Rogers, but judging by their twitter feed, it would be exponentially more hilarious if Vivian Arend or Alisha Rai joined us.

Hunting Season by Shelly Laurenston, The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook, Lament by Maggie Stiefvater, Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr and Crux by Moira Rogers. But, these are all print books. I'd grab my Nook, if I could, and have the 100+ that are on there. And, my iPod for my audiobooks. Who am I kidding? I could never choose just 5 books!
Favorite place to read? On my bed, with three pillows piled behind me, and my laptop sitting nearby.
Best book you read in 2010? The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Probably England. I'm a bit of an angophile, and I love the yummy Brit accent. Also, close proximity to Ireland and Scotland (more yummy accents!).

My name's Andrea and I'm a secretary for a very small construction company. I love music and I do some freelance work doing music reviews in my spare time. (You know, that time when I'm not reading)

2. Have you always been an avid reader?

I've read since I was 5 and I haven't stopped since.

3. What is your favorite thing about book blogging?

I love getting to know authors and finding new books from other bloggers.

4. What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?

I've actually had a Harlequin author that I read and love stop by my blog. (Hope Tarr, who writes for the Blaze line) I love interacting with authors.

5. What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours?

I love discovering new authors, plus all of the team have great blogs, so I've got so many more blogs to follow...which of course means I find new books. Its a vicious cycle!

6. I know better than to ask who your favorite author is. That's an impossible question. LoL But... if you could meet 1 author for coffee, who would you most like to sit and chat with?

I think If I could have coffee with one author, I'd have to pick Janet Evanovich, though there are so many that I'd love sit and chat with. My number two pick would be Jen Lancaster, because she would have to be totally fun to talk to. (As long as we avoided politics)

Only 5? How cruel! I'd probably take these: Gaston Leroux - The Phantom of the Opera, Janet Evanovich - One For The Money, Anne Rice - The Vampire Lestat, Victor Hugo - Les Miserables (unabridged version), Mary Shelley - Frankenstein

8. Favorite place to read?

My favorite place to read is curled up in the sun somewhere, but when it is cold, the couch is fine, especially if I have lots of blankets.

9. Best book you read in 2010?

Jane Eagland's Wildthorn was my absolute favorite read. It kept me glued to my chair from start to finish. If you haven't read this one already, you probably should.

10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

From the time I was little and crushing on Davy Jones of the Monkees and all of the Beatles, I'd have to say England. No particular place in the country though. Oh and just to clarify...I'm 36 so I got my British Invasion love via Beatles cartoons and reruns!

Team Member Interview: Selena from The Enchanted Book

1. I'm Selena Collins. I'm a college English instructor at a major university (think Big 10). I am a type-A personality and always have been. I'm told I'm intimidating in person, but that's usually by students. In private, I'm a true softy who has a bunch of cats I dote on like they're children. I also have two children, one boy and one girl. I'm a writer in addition to being a teacher and reader, and I'm finishing my second book now.

2. I've always been an avid reader, but I stopped reading for a few years after I began to teach because I was always reading students' writing. But in the past year, I've rededicated myself to reading for pleasure, and I've never looked back.

3. My favorite thing about book blogging is conveying my ideas about a book to others. I take care when I write a review that it truly reflects what I found in the book. I'm a grammar nut, so I proofread my posts with a fine tooth comb mentality. I think it's important because every word I write reflects upon me.

4. The most exciting thing I've experienced through my blog is the community I've found among other bloggers. I enjoy that sense of camaraderie.

5. I think the thing I most enjoy about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours is the group of people I get to read with. I've been impressed with each one of the bloggers involved with Book Lovin' Bitches.

6. The English prof in me screams that I should want to meet Shakespeare, Poe, Salinger, Wharton, or any of the big classical names, but I think if I could meet an author for coffee (I'd prefer a beer as I don't drink coffee and I find people open up more when they drink!) and they were alive and not in seclusion, it would have to be Charlotte Featherstone. I think I'd like to meet her and talk about how she makes historical romance so damn wonderful.

I don't want go to Mars. But since I'm going to survive at least for the trip there as the Earth crumbles to bits, I will need to take these books with me: The Complete Sherlock Holmes, any full collection of Shakespeare's plays, Catcher In The Rye, Edith Hamilton's Mythology, and Lover Unbound. Yeah, I got thing for V. And I'm going to need that sexy stuff every so often on the ridiculously long trip to a planet I won't survive 5 seconds on. So V it is. Or Charlotte Featherstone's Lust. I do love that Thane. Can I take 6? Please? I'll put them all on my Kindle and they won't take up but a tiny bit of space.

8. My favorite place to read depends on the weather. When it's cold, I read inside in bed. When it's beautiful out, I read outside, preferably on my porch, which I adore.

9. The best book I read in 2010 has to be The Ides of March by Valerio Massimo Manfredi.

10. If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be in the southern United States, preferably where the temperature rarely dips below 50 since I hate the cold.

Morning all! I have another fantastic team member interview to share with you all today! Miranda from My Eclectic Bookshelf!

1. Can you tell us about yourself? Not just your name and what you do, but also... what are you like?

Well, as you probably know I’m Miranda, I am a mom, a military wife, book loving, crafty type. I have the occasional day of great wisdom, I strive to be a positive person every day, semi-organized, hater of house chores, most days my laptop or phone is attached to me at the hip (before the kids get home, then it’s the electronics and kiddos attached). I am a friend, lover, healer,caretaker, blogger, reader, thinker, and motivator. I love chatting with people, can’t stand ignorance, am told I am funny, nutty, sweet, gorgeous, and an all around wonderful person. (so my friends tell me) I have my flaws and fears, but strive to push through them so that I continue to be an empowered woman. I play well with others, and am fiercely loyal and protective. I am open minded and have a never ending thirst for knowledge. I abhore house work, and will do anything to avoid it, I enjoy lazy pj days, beaches and warm weather.

2. Have you always been an avid reader?

Yes, growing up my parents spent more money on books then anything else. I have been able to sit down and read a book in about 5 hours since I learned to read.

3. What is your favorite thing about book blogging?

Oh man, I have to pic one?? I don’t think I can. I love finding new authors and new books. I also love connecting with other people who love to read just as much as I do.

4. What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?

Being asked by a new Indie Author to review their book!

5. What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours?

Hosting the authors. I mean getting to read the books for free is awesome, but I love being creative with introducing the authors and their books. Making it something more than just the regular author interview or post. It fuels my creative side and gives me a sense of being something/someone besides a mom to two kids and wife to a soldier. Helps ME be ME.

6. I know better than to ask who your favorite author is. That's an impossible question. LoL But... if you could meet 1 author for coffee, who would you most like to sit and chat with?

Oh boy, I would love to sit and chat with ummm. Kim Harrison, Karen Marie Moning, and Christina Dodd all at once at this great place I know that serves the most fabulous white chocolate bread pudding. (they have coffee there too)

In my oversize chair or outside under the sun (when warm enough)

9. Best book you read in 2010?

I don’t think I can pick just one. The Dark Hunter Series by J.R Ward, Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, Rachel Morgan Series by Kim Harrison, and the Merry Gentry series by Laura K Hamilton.

10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

In a beach house on an island with my family and tribe friends(an online group of friends) around me with fantastic wifi connection, unending fresh coffee and fruity drinks and a live in maid/cook/nanny.

Can you tell us about yourself? Not just your name and what you do, but also... what are you like?
My real name is Donna, I am a 42 yr old divorced mother of one 13yr old boy, Besides reading my other loves is music -80's metal especially Bon Jovi. In fact I run a fansite and have for about 3 almost 4 yrs now. Also I am really quite shy believe it or not.
Have you always been an avid reader?
Yes, for as long as I can remember I have loved books, My dad was in the army so I moved alot and didn't keep a lot of friends because of that the books became my friends.
What is your favorite thing about book blogging?
Meeting all the nice people and making new friends as well as finding all these great books.
What's the most exciting thing you've experienced through your blog?
The first email I review request I received, as well as my first giveaway I won. I never have won anything in my life but to win something I Love to do was so exciting.
What do you enjoy most about Book Lovin' Bitches Blog Tours?
All the new authors that we are getting to know, as well as becoming friends to all the other team members.

Just 5 thats impossible - well okay Acheron by Sherillyn Kenyon, Dark Lover by J.R. Ward, The Darkest Night By Gena Showalter, Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian , Dark Fever by Karen Marie Moning(this one cause I haven't read it yet) but I would try and sneak more than 5 lol if I could.
